Dr. Sportelli is a double board-certified psychiatrist specializing in addiction medicine and mental health. As Medical Director of Apex Recovery NJ, Dr. Sportelli oversees an exceptional multidisciplinary team of clinicians, therapists, prescribers, and holistic care practitioners, bringing over 15 years of clinical experience to ensure every patient receives expert, coordinated care.
Rolando brings extensive clinical leadership to Apex, specializing in addiction, trauma, mood disorders, and co-occurring conditions. His integrative approach — combining CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed care — creates a treatment environment where clients feel empowered to build lasting recovery.
Lucia brings both professional training and lived experience to her work with individuals and families. With a background in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies from William Paterson University, she creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to create lasting change and live a healthy recovery lifestyle.
